What classification is my Food business, and do I need to be audited?

How often do I need to be audited?

Once a year for Food act Victoria audits to satisfy the council requirements for food business registration

How long does an audit take?

Depending on the size of the premises an audit can take 2 to 6 hours on site.

Do I get a certificate?

Yes, a certificate of adequacy or compliance will be provided if premises is deemed adequate, a HACCP certificate will be provided for HACCP customers.

How do I know if a food item has been recalled?

Please refer to this link on FSANZ website for current list of food recalls.
